“SWeRF: Size-Weighted respirable Fraction” provides detailed information about the regulations for labeling and analysis of quartz or christobalite containing respirable fractions. According to the EC Regulation No 1272/2008, article 5 states that every producer must classify his own substances or mixtures of quartz or cristobalite in reference to those fractions.

“Chloride” targets the importance of chloride and its quantification in the cement, glass and ceramic industry. A high chloride concentration increases corrosion and shorten the lifetime of the continuously running production process. The quantification of chlorine is carried out either by potentiometric titration or by ion chromatography.
