Anzaplan partner for the development of OUG’s Arbayan Tungsten-Lithium project in Mongolia

ANZAPLAN announces the collaboration with Mongolian-based Oyuny Undra Group (OUG) for development of an Li extraction and precipitation procedure of ore from the Arbayan Tungsten-Lithium deposit in south-east Mongolia, Sukhbaatar province. Processing tests are carried out at ANZAPLAN’s technical center and analyzed in its state-of-the art analytical facilities.

Main ore mineral in the Arbayan deposit is hubnerite (MnWO4) which is hosted in a mainly feldspar and quartz and mica/clay bearing rock. ANZAPLAN has successfully carried out first extraction and precipitation test work to recover Li from a mica concentrate. In a second step the economic viability of Li recovery will be investigated in detail and an optimized processing procedure will be developed.

OUG, founded in 1992, is a fully integrated, private company employing over 1100 people nationwide with major interests in Mongolia’s growing economy, operating in the sectors of Corporate Services, Mining, Real Estate, Banking & Financial Services, Communication & Technology and Consumer Products & Services.
