ANZAPLAN goes Urban Mining

Urban Mining is a general term for the utilization of secondary resources to recover valuable mineral and metal contents. With growing demand for raw materials on the world market, depletion of high quality reserves and augmenting export restrictions for feedstock alternative secondary sources of raw material such as disposal sites and mine dumps are increasingly being considered in the industrialized parts of the world.
ANZAPLAN will therefore make a valuable contribution as an industrial partner in the BMBF (Federal Ministry of Education and Research) joint research project ROBEHA carried out in 2012-2015.
Target of this research project is to look at the potential utilization of mine dumps in the Westharz region, Germany, with regard to sustainability based on a detailed investigation of the possibilities for recovery of valuable mineral and metal contents. ANZAPLAN will contribute to the success of this project with its expertise in the development of tailor-made innovative processing concepts.
